Join us for a very special holiday concert as the Buffalo Community Orchestra kicks off the holiday season. Experience the magical sounds of the season with well-known holiday favorites with a little theatrical twist. You will hear Christmas classics, all that have been included in Christmas movies, as well as favorites from Home Alone and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Fun Facts:

Jingle Bells is the most used Christmas song in movies.

White Christmas, by Irving Berlin, was written in 1942 for the musical film “Holiday Inn”

According to a survey conducted in December 2022, “Home Alone” ranked as the most viewed Christmas film in the United States

All I Want for Christmas is You appeared as the No. 1-listened-to song in every state in the U.S. The song was first released by Mariah Carey in 1994 from her fourth studio album and first holiday album “Merry Christmas.” The New York Post estimated that Carey makes a profit of $3 million every year from the song.

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town is a popular Christmas song written by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie with its earliest performances dating back to 1934. Frank Sinatra did a cover version in 1948, which is featured in the film The Polar Express and as the eighth track on its official soundtrack.
